Started at the Top - Fichtel Mountains

Let’s start at the beginning: 1993. In the early 90s, CUBE was founded in the Fichtel Mountains in Bavaria, Germany. Founder Marcus Pürner started assembling bicycles and building bicycle frames in a corner of his father’s furniture factory. His passion for mountain biking and the worldwide rise in popularity of bicycles have brought the CUBE brand to where it is today.

Thanks to the brand’s worldwide success, CUBE has always remained true to its roots. Today, the team in Bavaria has over a thousand employees. After all these years, CUBE is still owner-managed, which gives the reassurance that the company can focus on the long term, without having to meet the demands of its shareholders. In this way, CUBE can remain true to its values and set a course for the future.

CUBE in the Netherlands

The brand quickly made a name for itself in the Netherlands as well. Where more and more dealers saw the demand for CUBE bicycles increase, Bike2Build in Vlaardingen was transformed into Bike2Build CUBE Store (an intermediate form). Because we still carried various brands, it was not possible to make the switch to a full CUBE Store right away. In order to be able to make this switch, there was a transition period of one year. In 2017, it finally happened: the very first CUBE Store in the Netherlands: CUBE Store Vlaardingen.

From a shop where different brands of bicycles and accessories were sold to a specific brand. It became a great success and it soon tasted like more. Within 2 years, CUBE Store Leersum was opened. A slightly different shop, smaller in square meters and in a special place. A location on the mountain bike course of Leersum. So you can give your new bike a 'baptism of fire' from the shop on one of the most beautiful mountain bike courses in the Netherlands.

After the success of these two CUBE Stores, more followed in quick succession: Limburg, Nijmegen, Friesland, Zeeland, Venlo, Almelo and Assen. In the meantime, a CUBE Store can be reached from all over the Netherlands.

CUBE Store Online Webshop

In 2019, we took the CUBE experience to a whole new level. In addition to the success of our physical CUBE Stores in the Netherlands, we decided to bring our passion for bikes and high-quality accessories online. Thus, the CUBE Stores Netherlands webshop was born.

With the launch of our webshop we wanted to make sure that everyone, wherever they were in the Netherlands, could easily access our beautiful CUBE products.
